Acceptance

By accessing asante.health or using the Asante app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Asante is

Asante is a personal symptom diary and conversation aid for healthcare appointments. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical advice.

Every generated document carries this disclaimer: “Personal symptom diary — conversation aid for healthcare appointments. Not a medical diagnosis.”

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. Asante does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Waitlist

Joining the waitlist is free and does not obligate you to purchase or use the app. You may unsubscribe from waitlist communications at any time by emailing [email protected].

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it if it changes.

Health data and device sync

Asante processes health data (symptom logs, data from Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect) only with your explicit consent and solely to provide the service. We comply with Apple's HealthKit and Google's Health Connect guidelines: your health data is never used for advertising, never sold to third parties, and never disclosed without your consent.

Your data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Asante. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your symptom logs, notes, or generated reports. You may export or delete your data at any time from your account settings.

Subscriptions and payments

Asante offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro is available at £6.99/month or £49.99/year.

• Free trial: new Pro subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings (iOS/Android) or your account settings (web). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• Cooling-off period: if you are a UK or EU consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. For iOS purchases, refunds are handled by Apple; for Android purchases, by Google — each in accordance with their respective refund policies.
• Price changes: we will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Accuracy and reliability

While we make every effort to ensure the app functions correctly, Asante does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or clinical usefulness of any generated symptom summaries. Reports are based solely on the data you provide and are intended as conversation aids, not as medical evidence.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Asante for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from asante.health

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Asante is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. If you are a consumer in the UK, you retain any mandatory consumer protections provided by English law. If you are a consumer in Australia, nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to waitlist members and in-app for active users at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
